Important Note about the Reversing Device Product (‘Device’)
This Device is indicative and not to be used to the exclusion of normal safe driving rules and practices.
Safe driving and use of the Device is reliant on your speed, braking, steering, vehicle upkeep and maintenance, driving record and other related issues which may affect your cognizance, response time, reaction speed and the safety of reversing your vehicle.
You need to ensure, as you would anytime you are driving a vehicle and prior to moving your vehicle including reversing, that conditions are safe to do so. For example, you need to ensure that there are no objects, obstructions or persons around you, that your vehicle has adequate space around it to reverse and that you reverse slowly in a safe manner. This Device is meant to be a vision aid only and not to be relied upon solely as the only means to safely reverse your vehicle.
We give no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability and completeness of any information, or calculations provided by customer use of the Device and do not accept any liability, including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage to persons or vehicles whatsoever which may be attributed to reliance on or use of the Device.
We provide this Device for your convenience, vehicle assistance and to assist with your safety and those around you. It is to be used at all times, in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safe driving rules. You need to assess this information, your vehicle and determine whether this product is suitable and appropriate for your needs.

DELIVERY OF GOODS
Physical goods may be delivered by Australia Post and/or other reputable courier companies. Deliveries are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Delivery may take between 2 and 14 days, depending on the delivery option. Damaged or lost orders should be resolved with Australia Post or the courier company directly and we are not responsible for goods that are damaged in transit or not received. Replacement of damaged or lost items is made at the discretion of Reverse Mate Pty Ltd.
Digital goods are delivered immediately. Please be aware there are inherent risks associated with downloading any software and digital goods. Should you have any technical problems downloading any of our goods, please contact us so we may try to assist you.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Reverse Mate Pty Ltd handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation.
Should you wish to return your order, please notify us within 14 days of purchase with a valid reason for return. If we are unable to resolve your complaint or further assist you, we will process a refund upon timely receipt of the goods purchased. Unopened goods will be refunded in full. Refunds will be processed promptly and payment made by the same method that you made payment. All refunds are made at the discretion of Reverse Mate Pty Ltd.

This agreement and this website are subject to the laws of Reverse Mate Pty Ltd and Australia. If there is a dispute between you and Reverse Mate Pty Ltd that results in litigation then you must submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Reverse Mate Pty Ltd.
Vehicle reverse aid
WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMER
This warranty and disclaimer applies to the Reverse Mate vehicle reverse aid (hereinafter “Product”).
The Product is sold, and this warranty is provided, by REVERSE MATE PTY LTD ABN 73644174032 (hereinafter “we” or “us”).
(1) 12 Month Warranty
We provide a 12 month warranty against defects with the Product.
In the event of a defect with the Product, you may be entitled to have the Product replaced.
In order to be entitled to a replacement Product, you must:
- immediately stop using the Product; and
- notify us of the defect within 12 months from the date that we first provided the Product to you.
In order to claim a replacement Product, you must:
- contact us using the details at the end of this warranty document, to notify us of the defect; and
- return the defective Product to us at the address listed at the end of this warranty document, together with your contact details and proof of purchase documentation.
Upon receipt of the defective Product, we will inspect it. If the defect is the result of a manufacturer fault, we will send you a replacement product and will reimburse you for the costs of returning the defective Product to us.
This 12 month warranty is in addition to any other rights and remedies to which you may be entitled under Australian law.
(2) Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
You are solely responsible for evaluating the Product and determining whether it is fit for your purpose. You are also responsible for installing the Product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
The Product is intended as a vehicle reverse aid but it is no substitute for physically inspecting and observing your own surroundings or errors you may make in using the Product.
You acknowledge that moving a vehicle is dangerous and that there may be people, animals, other vehicles, or other property, obscured from your view. Failure to adequately check your surroundings or excessive speed and other vehicle misuse could result in traffic accidents, injury, property damage or death.
You acknowledge that you use the Product at your own risk and that you are responsible at all times for evaluating whether or not it is safe for you to move your vehicle. While you might use the Product to assist you in moving your vehicle, you should always make sure that you or someone you trust (such as a mature adult passenger) assesses the situation with their own eyes, before you move your vehicle.
(4) Limitation of Liability
In addition to the requirements set out in clause 1 of this warranty and disclaimer document, the warranty provided under that clause will not apply:
- if a defect with the Product results in any way from some act or omission by you in relation to the appropriate care, maintenance and/or use of the Product; or
- if you fail to follow our or the manufacturer’s instructions for installation, care, maintenance and/or use of the Product; or
- if you are unable to provide proof of purchase.
Except as otherwise provided by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury which may arise in any way from the use of the Product by you or by any other person.
Except as otherwise provided in this warranty and disclaimer, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions and warranties implied by custom, law or statute, and we expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind including but not limited to implied warranties that the Product is fit for a particular purpose.
You hereby agree that we are not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental loss or damage which may result from your use of the Product.
Except as otherwise provided by law or as otherwise set out in this warranty and disclaimer, our liability to you shall be limited to the cost of replacement of the Product, together with your reasonable costs of postage and/or delivery in connection with your returning of the Product.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us and our officers, directors, employees, contractors, members, agents and licensees harmless from and against any and all claims, charges, actions, liabilities, investigations, demands and similar including but not limited to any costs, losses, damages whether direct, indirect, consequential or special and all legal fees resulting from your use of the Product, including but not limited to any third party claims. You further agree to take over and defend any claim that may be lodged against us for any claims in breach of these terms, warranty, your use or misuse of the Product.
